The Seventies
As many of my friends know, I love music, and I grew up in the magic age at the time of the birth of rock n roll, the blues, country, and the explosive time of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. This music blog is where I celebrate my roots and also as a means for me to have a place to "wax nostalgic" and every once in a while "get down". One of the all-time favorite groups, though is The Eagles. They are remarkable in that they lived through the 1970s as arguably the most successful band in history then disbanded, and then, 14 years later, got back together, and they are still going strong. This post is to recommend "The History of the Eagles, Parts One and Two", if you have access to it. It ran on Showtime in 2013, and it is available for purchase online. It is also on Netflix, where I have watched it several times and can't get enough of it. This link is to the 60 Minutes interview which I think aired last year. It is only a small part of their very intriguing and interesting story.
